In the Background

Very short and sweet one today Adventurers.

Have been working a lot on sorting out jobs and such, attending interviews, sending off applications – one thing I will say, I’m terrible at blowing my own trumpet for the forms. I can do it, but when I do, it seems I either undersell in classic British style or overdo it in classic Management speak. Either way, am beavering away behind the screens.

My Historical Fantasy novel has gone out to a couple of test readers with target audience aged children, and results are looking good so far. I am still unsure about the ending, and how it bolts together because it feels a bit odd, but I can smooth that out some later on after feedback.

A good friend of mine sent me some non-fiction on turning one of my books into a graphic novel – so I’m also hacking through that, and I can see a lot of cross-discipline similarities, but other new principles that bring quite a challenge.

In other news, am now approaching the deadline for my SFF submission to another Publisher – so fingers crossed, but I’m expecting another rejection, since I’m not a celebrity and haven’t heard anything in the interim. It’s fine. I’m an Indie Author and it WILL go out regardless.

Thought I should clue you all in that I am doing something. Onwards!

Anyway, that’s it – have a great day Adventurers! 🙂
