Busy couple of weeks these last.
Out of 12 Agents, so far I’ve had three replies to decline my manuscript, and five deadlines without reply (basically, no response). So, the quick thinkers that you are reveals there are only four left to come in, and they’re a while off.
I have been working on other things, and passing out the rough manuscript for War Mages: Sharpshooter to any poor sod who’ll read it – including my German friend, who is picking apart my umlauts.
Yes, umlauts are a real thing.
However, this leaves me with only a handful of prospects, so doing what any manic author does, I plagued some more Agents in a second tranche. Now, I have never submitted to these Agents before, and God only knows why, since their bios are right up my typewritten alley. I can only put it down to them not being open to Submissions.
Thinking on it now, I wonder if I just wasn’t ready. My experience with Querying and manuscript prep has increased significantly, and this is mainly thanks to emotional support from friend and family, closely followed by professional encouragement by my latest editor.
Let’s see how we get on.
